Tiger King's Carole Baskin promotes Cumbrian radio station
World-famous Netflix documentary star Carole Baskin has promoted Kendal Calling Radio - a new online station broadcasting live across the weekend.
The American big cat lover and activist recently found fame in the 'Tiger King' series, which launched on the streaming platform earlier this year.
Joe Exotic's nemesis has appeared on Twitter promoting the radio station, which is being aired the weekend Kendal Calling was scheduled to take place.
This year the popular music festival, which is held at the Lowther Deer Park, near Penrith, would've marked its 15th anniversary, but organisers made the 'heartbreaking' decision to cancel it due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In the video Carole welcomes viewers with her trademark introduction, "Hey, all you cool cats and kittens, it's Carole Baskin at Big Cat Rescue."
"I'm so disappointed that Kendal Calling isn't happening this year, but I'm going to try and tune in to KC Radio this weekend from my home.
"KC Radio is raising money for some awesome charities. Find out how to support them at KendalCallingRadio.com"
Kendal Calling Radio is coming together to fundraise for the festival’s charity partners – North West Air Ambulance, Alder Hey Children’s Charity, Guide Dogs for the Blind, St John’s Ambulance and Hospice at Home.
Organisers are asking people to tune in via the Kendal Calling website or smart speakers to hear celebrity-packed live shows, classic performances, guest interviews, DJ sets and much more.
