SFRS believe woodland fire was be 'deliberately' set
People are being reminded of the dangers of setting fires in wooded areas.
It comes after the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service responded to a wildfire in Dumfries in Galloway which they believe was 'deliberately' set.
Crews from Thornhill, Amber Watch and Dumfries attended the scene of a large blaze in the woodland, near the village of Auldgirth, Thornhill.
A spokesperson from SFRS Dumfries and Galloway said: "Deliberate fire-setting is unacceptable. These incidents have the potential to quickly spread out of control – putting people and property at risk."
