Comedian thanks Borders General Hospital for looking after pal's dad

The comedian Hugo Boss, formally known as Joe Lycett, has taken to social media to thank NHS staff in the Scottish Borders.

He showed his appreciation on Sunday night to workers at Borders General Hospital in Melrose who are caring for one of his friend's dad.

He said: "Just want to say a big thanks to the staff at Borders General Hospital @NHSBorders who are looking after my pal’s dad brilliantly right now. And indeed thanks to all our @NHSuk staff. This daft idiot is immensely grateful."

The 31-year-old is now legally called Hugo Boss after changing his name in a jibe against the designer fashion brand.

The entertainer alleged that the multi-billion German company use trademark claims to gain thousands from small businesses and charities who use the name "boss".
