Second body of woman found in Scottish Borders

A second body has been found in the Scottish Borders.

Police Scotland confirmed the woman was discovered in the Galashiels area at 3.15pm on Monday.

A formal identification has yet to take place but the family of Emilie Anderson, from Carlisle, who was reported missing from the town, has been informed.

Police launched a major search to find the 26-year-old who disappeared after a night out on Sunday.

It comes just hours before a body of a woman, thought to be another missing woman from Galashiels, was found in Kelso.

Officers say the family of Melita Hachey, 30, who was reported missing from Galashiels in February, has been informed.

Police say there is currently no indication that the two deaths are linked.
