Storm Ciara: Warwick Road Carlisle reopens
Warwick Road, one of the main routes into Carlisle has reopened after being closed overnight due to flood water.
Last night residents feared they were were about to be told to leave their homes after water poured over the main road.
Emergency services were in attendance for several hours monitoring the road.
The situation continues to be under review by Police, the Environment Agency and other emergency services.
Meanwhile communities in the south of Scotland are rallying round to support owners of flood-hit properties and businesses.
Yesterday in Hawick the front of a guest house collapsed after the building's foundations were swept away by the River Teviot.
Project Hawick has set up a Crowd Funding page to support all the businesses affected in the town
