Pantomime returns to Dumfries after 5 years with Liberty X star Michelle Heaton

Panto season is well underway (oh yes it is) in Dumfries for the first time in five years.

A production of Aladdin is now entertaining audiences at the DG One Leisure Complex which re-opened in the summer after being closed since 2014 due to defects with the building.

One of the show's stars is former Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton. Our reporter Lewis Warner went to meet her and the rest of the cast.

Hundreds have turned out to over the last few days to see this comical adaptation of Aladdin.

The panto runs until the 30th of December so there's plenty of time yet for a magical carpet ride.
