Cannabis plants worth £300k found in empty Dumfries shop

Cannabis plants worth around £300,000 have been found in an empty shop in Dumfries.

The plants were discovered on Irish Street, on 12 December 2019, when the fire and rescue service responded to a burning smell at the property earlier the same day.

Police have made no arrests and the investigation is still ongoing. They would like to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity at, or near, the premises.
