Borders Rail campaigners to meet Transport Minister

Campaigners who want an extension to the Borders Railway are meeting the Transport Minister in Holyrood today.

Representatives from Langholm and District Rail Group will be discussing the benefits of an extension of the line from Tweedbank to Langholm.

The 31-mile Borders Railway route stretching from Edinburgh Waverley to Tweedbank was officially opened by HM The Queen on 9 September 2015.

Over 2.6million passengers have travelled on the Borders railway line since it re-opened in September 2015
