Cricket World Cup Trophy on display in Cockermouth

The Cricket World Cup Trophy is in Cockermouth this afternoon.

The visit between 3-6pm coincides with junior training sessions being held over half term.

The club is the place where England's World Cup winning all rounder Ben Stokes learned the game as a teenager growing up in Cumbria.

The trophy will be in the clubhouse where anybody wanting to see, touch or be photographed with it will be given the opportunity.

Ben frequently returns to Cockermouth to visit friends, but was unable to attend today as he prepares for England's upcoming tour of New Zealand.
