Woman left with hand and leg injuries after dog attack

A woman has been left with hand and leg injuries after a dog attacked her in Dumfries.

The incident happened on the morning of 22 September on the cycle path between Sandside and Nunholm.

Police investigating the attack are eager to speak to an elderly woman with grey hair. She is described as white, 5ft 6 of a medium build, and wore glasses and a dark rain coat.

At the time of the attack, the woman they are keen to identify was walking a brown border collie.

The victim's dog, a border terrier, was also attacked and is said to have face and neck injuries.
