A new hospital has opened in West Cumbria.
The Maryport Day Hospital will replace the Victoria Cottage Hospital which - despite efforts from campaigners- lost the majority of its beds in September last year.
Local MP Sue Hayman officially opened the facility, where health checks were on offer to the public, including blood pressure monitoring, weight measurements and diabetes checks.
