Police treat Jedburgh garage fire as suspicious
A fire that damaged two cars at a garage in the Scottish Borders is being treated as suspicious by police.
Officers were called the scene of a blaze at 3:20m this morning (19 September) in Bongate.
On arrival, emergency services' first indications was that the fire was deliberately set.
The two fire-damaged cars are now set to be destroyed and investigations are underway.
Police are carrying out door-to-door enquiries and checking CCTV footage in hope of finding out more information about the incident.
Police ask anyone with information to call officers at Jedburgh Police Station via 101.
