Body of a man pulled from Ullswater

The body of a man in his 20s has been pulled from Ullswater by divers.

Police received responded to a call about two people swimming in the water near Howton on 1 August, at around 5pm.

An 18-year-old was also helped out of the water and taken to hospital. He has since been discharged.

Specialist divers recovered another person from the water at around 10:45pm, but he had passed away. His family have been informed.

Police say they are not looking for anyone else.
