Cumbria's Helen Housby shooting for World Cup glory

The 2019 Netball World Cup kicks off in Liverpool tonight and shooting for England is Carlisle-born Helen Housby.

Housby is certainly no stranger to international competitions, having previously being picked for the 2014 Commonwealth Games and the 2015 Netball World Cup.

The 24-year-old currently plays for Australian team New South Wales Swifts in Australia's elite Super Netball league.

England will play Scotland on Saturday closely followed by Samoa on Sunday to determine if they will move into the second stage of the competition.

The games take place until the 21st of July at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool.
