Body discovered close to Dalbeattie town centre

Police are investigating into the discovery of a body found in the Dalbeattie Burn earlier this morning.

Police, firefighters and ambulance services were called to the scene after the discovery of the body near the town's bowling club, just outside of Dalbeattie town centre.

The area has been cordoned off while Police Scotland CID officers investigate the incident.
