Jousters and jesters gather for annual Medieval Fayre
The Traquair Medieval Fayre is set to take place this weekend in Scotland’s Oldest Inhabited House.
Historic re-enactments and cosplay will form part of the entertainment at Traquair House, near Innerleithen in the Scottish Borders.
The family event, which kicked off on Saturday with a cannon firing display, includes medieval markets, archery, jester shows and Jousting down Traquair avenue.
Crowds have the chance to take part in sword and shield making workshops as well as ancient crafts and tapestry classes.
Fayre Ale, brewed in the 300 year old Traquair brew house, is on offer along with a traditional hog roast, wood fired pizzas and buffalo burgers.
