Cricket returns to the Appleby Eden Cricket Club after Storm Desmond destroyed the club in 2015.

The club is a month away from opening a new pavilion and a practice net facility which is set to be completed by 10 June 2019.

The new facility has been built to make it flood resilient by being raised by 2 metres.

Restoring the cricket pitch has cost an estimated £850,000.

The club will host their first game after three years on the 25 May 2019.

Appleby and Eden Cricket club are in the First Division in the Eden Valley League.
