Growing concern for missing 74-year-old

There is growing concern for a 74-year-old man who has not been seen for four weeks.

Gavin Tait, from Wigtown near Newton Stewart, was last seen on 14 March 2019 - he is described as 5ft 10" with short grey hair and a beard

Specialist teams continue to search in gardens and other locations in and around Wigtown.

Gavin purchased groceries at his local shop on the morning of the 14 March, the receipt was found in his home.

Police are asking members of the public who have an outbuilding, shed or garage to check them.

He was a keen walker and may have become unwell and needed shelter.
