Fire destroys bus and lorry at Gretna services

Firefighters from Cumbria were called to assist the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service in tackling a blaze at Gretna services yesterday evening.

The crew at Longtown Fire Station helped colleagues from Gretna and Annan bring a bus and lorry fire under control.

They were alerted to the blaze at around 6.15pm.

The firefighters managed to save another adjacent lorry, but the bus and and lorry that were alight couldn't be saved. Nobody was hurt in the incident.
