Former Carlisle and Workington midfielder, Tony Hopper, dies aged 42
Former Carlisle United and Workington Reds midfielder Tony Hopper has died aged 42.
Hopper came through the youth ranks of his hometown club and played more than 100 games for United, winning promotion twice in the 1990s.
He was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in January last year.
He died at the Eden Valley Hospice and leaves a wife and three children.
