Cumbrian train passengers facing more rail disruption

Another wave of strikes will go ahead tomorrow causing more disruption to passengers after weeks of delays and cancellations earlier this year.

Routes in Cumbria including the Settle-Carlisle and Cumbria Coast lines are set to be affected by strike action with the RMT union calling a 24-hour walkout as part of a long-running dispute with Northern over the role of train guards.

The 24 hour strikes are due to take place tomorrow, 29th September, 6th, 13th and 20th October 2018.

Passengers are being urged to plan extra time for their journeys and warned that trains are likely to be busier than usual.
