Cavaghan & Gray to create new jobs with £7 million expansion

Cavaghan & Gray are expanding their Carlisle food factory.

The seven million pound expansion will create 200 new jobs with plans to expand the range of products it provides. The money will be spent on facilities and equipment to sustain the extra work.

The 2 sister food group have been supplying for Marks and Spencers for over 50 years and will continue to with an additional 30 new products.

Five new lines will be taken from Pinneys of Scotland based in Annan, which is due to close down. Cavaghan & Gray currently employ 1,250 and have two sites across Carlisle.
