Witness appeal after man had 'unknown liquid' thrown in his face

Police in the Scottish Borders are appealing for witnesses after an assault in Jedburgh.

A 27-year-old man was approached by a man who threw an unknown liquid in his face.

It happened just before 7am on Tuesday 17 July on a pathway known as the Waterside Walkway, which runs adjacent to the A68.

The victim was taken to Borders General Hospital as a precaution and was later released.

Inquiries are ongoing.
