Arriva Rail North (Northern Rail) workers are to carry out three further days of strike action.

Members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport union will walk out for 24 hours on June 19, 21 and 23.

It's part of a long-running dispute over the role of guards.

The company has been under fire in recent weeks because of daily delays and cancellations to rail services, including the four-week suspension of the Lakes Line.

RMT general secretary Mick Cash said Northern had "declared war on its passengers and staff alike."
