More than 700 different sections of road in the Scottish Borders have been damaged as a result of extreme winter weather, Scottish Borders Council has revealed.

Inspectors have surveyed almost two thousand miles of roads across the region to identify the damage, and work is now underway to try and fix the potholes.

The council says it will take weeks and that there isn't enough money to repair every route.
