Farron takes petition to Parliament for Urgent Treatment Centre in Kendal

A petition with more than 2,500 signatures demanding the upgrade of services at a Cumbrian hospital has been presented to Parliament today.

South Lakes MP Tim Farron presented the petition, which calls for an Urgent Treatment Centre at Westmorland General Hospital in Kendal.

This is so that more patients can be cared for in South Lakeland, instead of being transferred to Lancaster and Barrow.
