SATURDAY:

A cold day with lighter northwest winds, moderate to fresh at times along the coast.

It will be mostly dry with plenty of sunshine, and just a few wintry showers across the Galloway hills. Highs struggling to get to 3°C.

OVERNIGHT:

Dry with clear skies to begin. High cloud will spread northeast overnight. Cold with a widespread hard frost. Lows -8 °C.

SUNDAY:

A cold day with light or moderate northeast winds. Rather cloudy at times, but with hazy sunshine across SW Scotland and The Borders. Highs 3°C.

OUTLOOK:

Mainly dry with light winds on Monday and Tuesday, staying cold. Rain and hill snow spread east on Wednesday with winds strengthening later and turning milder.
