Police investigate Booths ram raid burglary

Cumbria Police are investigating a ram raid style burglary at Booths in Milnthorpe.

A vehicle was used to break into the supermarket and an attempt was made to steal the ATM inside on Saturday 25 November.

The incident happened between 1.15am and 1.30am.

A dark coloured people carrier was seen heading towards Carnforth after driving away from the back entrance of Booths at 1.30am.

Two men – aged 29 and 41 – from Durham, were arrested on suspicion of burglary. They have now been released under investigation.

Police are appealing for anyone who lives on Church Street (A6) or the Milnthorpe crossroads, who may have CCTV that could help the investigation.
