Pictures: Borderway Agri-Expo gets underway

Thousands of people, and animals, have headed to this year's Borderway Agri-Expo in Carlisle.

The event, in its 11th year, was established when Foot and Mouth and Blue Tongue were in the headlines, and is now one of the largest winter livestock event in the UK.

Cattle and sheep are showcased, as well as the latest machinery and equipment in farming.

Last year saw record entries of nearly 1000 cattle and sheep compete.
