Global celebration of comic art takes over Kendal

Artists, creators and writers from across the globe are heading to Kendal this weekend to celebrate comic art.

The Lakes International Comic Art Festival is taking place from 13 to 15 October and will see over 70 special guests from across the comic world.

Comic artists from Japan, the US, Canada, Australia, Finland and other European comic creators are expected to take part in the festival.

The event will feature live comic drawing, exhibitions, and a comic marketplace featuring independent publishers.
