cloudy this morning with scattered showers, most frequent over Dumfries and Galloway. Fewer showers this afternoon with best of sunshine towards east Lothian and eastern Borders. Staying quite windy. Highs 15°C.

SATURDAY NIGHT:A mainly dry and rather cloudy night with just a few light showers, mainly over Galloway. Clear periods will develop later in the night when it will turn colder. Lows 6°C.

SUNDAY:

A mainly dry and bright day with sunny spells. Cloudier conditions over Galloway by the afternoon with a few light showers. Lighter winds. Highs to 17°C.OUTLOOK:

Rather cloudy few days with bands of rain crossing all parts and drier, brighter spells in between. It will become windy on Tuesday and Wednesday with westerly gales developing.
