Mountain bikes stolen in spate of housebreakings in Peebles
Several high value mountain bikes have been stolen in a spate of housebreakings in the Peebles and Innerleithen areas.
The first incident happened overnight, between Monday 2 October, and Tuesday 3 October, at an address in Bonnington Road, Peebles.
Six mountain bikes were stolen from a secure garage.
One of the has since been recovered nearby.
The second incident also happened overnight, between Wednesday 4 October, and Thursday 5 October, at an address in Rosetta Road, Peebles.
Another mountain bike was stolen from the property.
A further incident, which again happened over night at an address in Buccleuch Street, Innerleithen, involved an attempted forced entry to the property.
In this case, the housebreaking was unsuccessful.
