ATM contents stolen in Innerleithen ram-raid incident
A stolen 4x4 vehicle has been driven into a building in Innerleithen, where an ATM machine was pulled from the premises and its contents taken.
The incident happened on Ballantyne Street at around 4.20am on Monday 4 September.
The vehicle travelled down Horsebrough Street and onto the A7 travelling north.
A number of vehicles on the street were damaged with debris left on the road.
A small part of the B709; George Street and Ballantyne Street, Innerleithen, are closed while police continue their investigation.
It is hoped that the roads will begin to reopen by 11am today.
The stolen vehicle is believed to have travelled north towards Edinburgh and was last seen in the Mayfield area of Midlothian.
It is described as a grey 4x4 Land Rover with the registration plate SP08 HFA and was stolen from an address in Bathgate on 4 September.
