Memory Walk to help beat dementia
Peter Jones, who's 64, was diagnosed with vascular dementia six months ago.
The diagnosis came as a shock for both him and his family. He's decided to take a positive outlook and is acting as ambassador for the Carlisle Memory Walk at Bitts Park this month.
Peter says he's even been mistaken for a shoplifter until people realise he has the condition. He says once people know, they're very understanding.
He's hoping the walk with not only help people learn more about they can help, but also raise funds for the Alzheimer's charity who are working on treatments and a cure.
The walk takes place at Bitts Park on September 17th at 10.30am
