21-year-old man assaulted at bus stop in Dumfries

Police Scotland are looking for witnesses to an assault involving a 21-year-old man at a bus stop in Dumfries.

The incident happened at around 10.45pm on Friday 25 August 2017.

The 21-year-old man was waiting for a bus into Dumfries on Auchencrieff Road, Locharbriggs, when a group of four or five youths approached him.

The youths, who were unknown to the victim, are then alleged to have assaulted him.

The victim was treated at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary for his injuries.

The youths are said to be around 17 to 19-year-old males with local accents.

One of the youths is described as 5ft 8, with short dark hair and stubble.

Another member of the group is said to have long fair hair.
