Planning permission for Copeland leisure centre approved

Planning permission for the revamp of a leisure centre in Millom has been granted by Copeland Borough Council.

The proposal for Millom Recreation Centre includes an extension with a new indoor play centre, a large fitness suite with new equipment, and improvements to the car park.

Centre management now plan to apply for funding to rebuild the indoor play centre, creating space for up to 90 children.

The centre currently offers a range of sporting and leisure facilities to people in the South Copeland.
