Cumbrian teenager in court on terror charge

An alleged far-right extremist has appeared in court accused of a terror offence.

Ethan Stables, 19, is accused of possessing documents useful to people preparing or committing acts of terrorism.

He is said to have possessed a copy of a document called the Anarchists' Cookbook.

The unemployed teenager, of Egerton Court in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Thursday 29 June.

He spoke only to confirm his personal details during the short hearing, and was remanded in custody to appear next at the Old Bailey on July 20.
