New exhibition unveiled at Crawick Multiverse

A new installation has gone on display at the Crawick Multiverse land restoration and art project in Dumfries and Galloway.

The theme of the installation is 'Cosmic Collision', exploring the universe and the galaxy. it's been described as a "fusion of art, science and architecture."

It includes virtual exhibitions, paintings and sculptures.

Visitors will be able to:

  • View paintings and artwork

  • Make their own 'origami universe'

  • Try out the 'Galaxy Making Machine'

  • Watch the 'evolution of a cosmos' using a virtual reality headset.

The exhibition includes:

  • New paintings by Charles Jencks

  • Interactive displays by cosmologist and director at Durham University, Professor Carlos Frenk, and his team

  • Pieces by artist Rachel Libeskind and her cosmologist brother Noam

  • New work on spiral galaxies by Daniel Libeskin.

The exhibition will run until Sunday 10 September at MERZ Gallery, Sanquhar in Dumfries and Galloway. It is free for people to attend.
