Takeaways in Copeland join scheme to improve food and hygiene standards
Food and hygiene standards of local takeaways are set for improvement with a new scheme in Copeland.
The Food Safety Alternative Intervention Initiative aims to support local takeaway owners who have a zero to three star rating, to improve food and hygiene standards.
The scheme will give owners the opportunity to informally discuss issues with Copeland Council staff.
As part of the scheme, food safety information has also been translated into various languages, to reduce any language barriers for takeaway owners.
