Charity aiming to find country's most pollen-friendly county
A wildlife charity is aiming to reduce the decline in bees and butterflies, by encouraging gardeners to plant more pots with nectar sources.
Butterfly Conservation's 'Plant Pot for Pollinators' campaign aims to provide pollinators with sources of food and shelter during the summer.
Participants can plot the location of their pot on the Plant Pots for Pollinators website.
The charity says flowers such as French Marigold, Calendula and Dahlia gardeners can provide food for butterflies such as Small Tortoiseshell, Red Admiral and Peacock. Thyme and Lavender plants will attract species of bees and other pollinating insects.
