The University of Cumbria and Tullie House museum and Art Gallery Trust are set to sign a 'memorandum of understanding'. formalising ties between the two centres.
The agreement will push for better research and joint learning and professional development.
The agreement follows a similar memo of understanding signed earlier this year linking Carlisle Cathedral with the university.
