Local driver David Bogie has won this weekend's Scottish Rally round of the British Rally Championship.

Bogie, from Dumfries, pipped Fredrik Ahlin to the post after the Swede went off on the final stage.

The event began on Friday evening, and continued throughout today in the Lockerbie and Forest of Ae area.

It is the third round of the 2017 British Rally Championship - the first round took place in the Scottish Borders, and the second was based in Carlisle.

All of the events bring thousands of people - including drivers, teams and spectators - to the region, and provide a big boost for the local economy.
