New evening service for TransPennine Express users
The TransPennine Express is extending its evening service between Glasgow and Manchester Airport, stopping at three stations in our region.
Lockerbie, Carlisle and Oxenholme stations will see increased services from Monday 22nd May.
Trains will leave Glasgow at 1847 (1906 on Sundays) while in the opposite direction, a new, 1858 service (1858 on Sundays) is being introduced from Manchester Airport to Glasgow Central.
Brand new, five carriage trains will start running on the route from early 2019 as part of a £500million investment.
Each train will have free Wi-Fi, charging points at every pair of seats and an on-board entertainment system allowing people to watch the latest films and TV shows.
