Scotland's Greig Laidlaw called up for British and Irish Lions squad
Scotland Captain Greig Laidlaw has been called up to the British and Irish Lions tour to New Zealand this summer, replacing English scrum-half Ben Youngs.
The Jed-Forest native will travel with the 41-man squad after Youngs pulled out due to his sister-in-law's terminal cancer diagnosis.
Laidlaw will join fellow Borderer Stuart Hogg and Scotland winger Tommy Seymour to make up the Scottish contingent of the touring party.
The Gloucester captain has recovered from an ankle injury which he sustained in Scotland's loss to France in the Six Nations in February.
