Found during an audit of items at Annan Museum was a 400-year-old one metre long sword. With it an old label where the faded handwriting linked the sword to an infamous Border Reiver named Kinmont Willie.All the research points to the fact this sword was Willie's weapon choice.

Finally arrested by the English, dragged off to Carlisle castle and then sprung out of jail by the Scots. Each sword in the exhibition has it's own story.

The sword in the story exhibition in Dumfries runs until June the 17th before moving to Annan.
