Richard Arkless MP says PM wants 'own mandate for hardest possible Brexit'

Richard Arkless, Dumfries and Galloway MP, has released a statement in response to Prime Minister, Theresa May's announcement calling for a general election to be held on the 8th of June.

The SNP member says the PM should not be given "her own mandate for the hardest possible Brexit".

The MP for Dumfries & Galloway goes on to say that Scotland's interests needs to remain protected.
