Hundreds of people in Cockermouth have spent the day celebrating its connection with William Wordsworth and his famous poem, often known as "The Daffodils".

Cockermouth Daffodil Day has become a popular annual event.

Events have been held in All Saints Church - where the poet was christened in 1772 - to mark the occasion.

Music played a big part in the day along with children's artwork which was on display.
