Sturgeon: voters should have right to choose Brexit or independence
Scottish voters should have the right to choose between the "significant and profound" change that Brexit will cause and independence, Nicola Sturgeon has said.
The First Minister was reopening a debate at Holyrood over her calls for a second independence referendum.
The debate in Holyrood is currently underway, and SNP and Green MSPs are expected to join forces to vote for a second independence referendum.
The proposal for a second referendum would then be considered by the UK government in Westminster, and Prime Minister Theresa May has already said she would not agree to a referendum before Brexit.
