Worried parent: I felt physically sick when I heard about London attack

A worried parent whose child was on a school trip during in London said she felt ‘physically sick’ when she heard about the Westminster terror attack.

But Denice Mckinnel praised teachers and staff at Newington Primary for keeping parents informed and reassured about the children’s safety.

Newington pupils were on a two day trip to London and visited Westminster the day before the attack when they were pictured with MP David Mundell along with pupils from Elmvale Primary.

Mrs Mckinnel said when she heard about the attack she “felt physically sick knowing my daughter and all her school friends and teachers were in London.”
