Local D&G groups get big cut of Lotto funding

Four community groups in Dumfries & Galloway have been awarded a share of £154,000 of Lotto Funding.

Lincluden Community Centre Management Committee received the highest share of £125,974, which will be used to upgrade and refurbish the centre. It will also be used to fund various creative activities the centre plans to offer to young people.

Haugh of Urr Nurser, Stranraer Academy and Increased access 2 psychological support (ia2ps) all received just over £28,000.

Dumfries & Galloway MSP Finlay Carson says the funding is a huge win for the local community.

The grants are a from a £3-4million share of National Lottery Funding being used to support over 100 community, arts and sports groups in Scotland.
